Mike Kost from King of Prussia, PA and his beautiful ’92 Chevy s-10 stock suspension, leaf spring truck. This Drag Radial truck has a 427ci SBC bolted up to a Turbo 400 trans, a 9″ Ford rearend with a Strange aluminum pull-thru center, Santhuff shocks, a set of Calvert Racing – CalTracs, and split mono leaf springs harness the power put to the M/T 275 Pros ! Mike’s personal best to date is 8.40 @161mph in the 1/4 and 5.32 @131mph in the 1/8th mile with a 1.25 60’ at 3250 lbs.!! Mike has stepped things up to run his leaf spring machine by adding an Advance Nitrous plate to run in the super competitive 8.50 Index Class at the Saturday Street Car Shootout Series that is held monthly at Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, MD. He got into the “Winner’s Circle” at an 8.50 Index Race at Maple Grove Raceway in his first season competing and is looking forward to the tuff competition in 2016 !
